Some people have called my mission ‘madness’, but I have a method to what they call madness. The speedometre should clock somewhere between 20,000 and 30,000 kilometres depending on the detours I might make along the way. The road ahead might seem intimidating, daunting and fraught with challenges, but hey, what’s life without risk?
The journey will be unhurried, with stops along the way to interact with challenged sectors of society, a specific interest being on orphan children and women. I’ll also be touching on issues of the environment as and when I encounter how communities cope with climate change.
My blog should cast light on my preparedness to undertake this journey: where I’ve come from to where I’m going. The plan is to drive the distance in an UAS (pronounced OO-AAS), produced by a Russian-manufacturing Soviet-era car company.
